#WeActive Challenge: 30 days to create new habits

The We Active Challenge kicks off again next week.

#WeActiveChallenge is an annual social media campaign run by @WeAHPs and @WeNurses, it focuses on encouraging the healthcare workforce, their families and friends to be more physically active over the month of August. People are encouraged to set themselves an achievable physical activity goal for the month, and share progress photos, videos or other media via twitter using community hashtags. It includes a competition between the different communities, as well as for best photos/videos, and members of the communities will also be sharing evidence based resources, via blogs and tweets, that support making every contact count for physical activity.

This is the fifth year of the challenge. Over the previous four years over 8,800 people have taken part, sharing 14,000+ images of themselves, colleagues, teams and families taking part in a huge range of activities - as well as stories of impact it has had on their activity levels and health. It’s a hugely positive, vibrant space.

If you are a twitter user we hope you can support the campaign, share with relevant colleagues and perhaps even join in - AHPs are in it to win it again this year!
