Occupational Therapy apprenticeship programme development - expressions of interest from NHS and social care providers
24 July 2019
Allied Health Professional Leads from NHS Trusts and Local Authorities in Lancashire and South Cumbria have recently held an initial exploratory meeting with regards to establishing an Occupational Therapy (OT) Apprenticeship programme.
In order to have a sufficently sized cohort to design and procure a bespoke programme with HEIs they are interested in hearing from any other providers within the North West who would be interested in securing places on an OT Apprenticeship. The team are designing a programme that will be suitable for experienced Therapy Assistants/Assistant Practitioners to provide a fast track route to professional qualification building on their current competencies and experience.
If you would like to express an interest in having places on the programme we would appreciate expressions of interest - in terms of the number of places per year that your organisation would require - by the end of August, to give some indication of likely cohort size. Please send these to Alison.turner@elht.nhs.uk. If you are interested in discussing further please also contact Alison Turner directly.
