AHP Sustainability: survey now open - closes 30/06/20
12 June 2020
Sustainability is a key priority for the NHS in 2020, and in January Sir Simon Stevens announced plans for the 'NHS to be a world leader in sustainability'. It is estimated that the health and care system in England is responsible for 4-5% of the country’s carbon footprint. The NHS has therefore committed to reaching Net Zero as soon as possible.
The survey has been launched, designed to understand the ways in which Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) can and are contributing to the environmental sustainability agenda and ultimately the ambition to be Net Zero. We are seeking examples of where AHPs have modified practice in all settings that meet the environmental sustainability agenda. This will include changes that have been made as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic but also those that have been more long term.
The AHP sustainability survey consists of 11 questions and should take you approximately 5-15 minutes to complete. The survey closes on Tuesday 30th June 2020.
