AHP First Contact Practice in Primary Care – cohort 3 of HEE funded module open for applications

This is a reminder that the third cohort of Health Education England’s funded module on AHP First Contact Practice in Primary Care in open for applications and places available.

This module has been developed to support delivery of the Long Term Plan and new GP contract. The module will develop clinical and leadership skills to enable Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to deliver effective first contact roles and services. There will be a focus on the development of clinical, professional and leadership skills to support effective service redesign, delivery and evaluation to deliver excellent and innovative patient care.

Applications are welcomed from AHPs working in, or moving to, primary care. Priority will be given to AHPs working in the North of England; however - places are available for those outside of the region so applications from other areas are welcomed.

The module will include five taught days of delivery at the University of Central Lancashire's Preston Campus, and one assessment day. The dates for this cohort are:

  • Wednesday 11 September and Thursday 12 September
  • Wednesday 25 September
  • Wednesday 9 October
  • Wednesday 30 October
  • Wednesday 20 November or Thursday 21 November (assessment day)
