The University of Cumbria is running a conference about Diagnostic Radiography Curriculum Development and Workforce Recovery on 3rd July 2019 at 9.30am - 4.30pm in the Sentamu Building, University of Cumbria, Lancaster, LA1 3JD.

The findings of a CoRIPS funded project by the university will be presented, plus other work Cumbria has been doing with partners evaluating and developing the radiography curriculum.

The afternoon session will be devoted to practical ideas and solutions to address workforce shortages and increase clinical training capacity.

“The conference will be of most interest to radiology managers, clinical educators and radiography academics,” said Charles Sloan, principal lecturer.

“It will give managers and clinical educators time and space to consider how to implement new ways of addressing the workforce shortages. Attendance will also allow the exchange of new ideas and best practice to increase the radiography workforce and improve the capabilities of graduates entering the profession.”

The conference is funded by a CoRIPS award and there is an attendance limit of two individuals per institution.
